Grad School: Week 12

Coach: Philip is one of the most competitive people I've ever known," Turner said. "I don't think there's anyone that winning means more to. He has great confidence in his abilities. I will say that he's pressing and there are times he's doing more than he needs to do. There are times in those situations where he makes a great play. There's a fine line for him... and sometimes he's trying too hard and trying to make plays that aren't there. From a scheme standpoint, we're trying to give him safe options to throw the ball."

QB1: "I'm trying to do the best I can, it's hard to feel you own self exactly what you are doing. If you knew what you were doing and what was going to hinder you, you wouldn't do it. I've been in my best stretch lately, obviously, but by any means is it going to make me slow down or quit trying or lose confidence. We still got a long ways to go."

When i was looking around at graduate schools, a professor, after telling me for about an hour what the experience could offer an artist, said,"basically, we are teaching you how to better learn." I think this is important, and illustrated in a somewhat roundabout way in the quote above. Coach knows what is going wrong, QB1 just has a feeling. Can football explain everything?

In other small news, Akar Gallery
just opened their 30 X 5 Salt and Soda Invitational. It is a great show and an opportunity to buy some pots. They do a wonderful job there. Check it out.

I was nice to see you in the line-up this year. Your work really adds to the exhibition.
